What a crush of people, MrG., what a great celebration. I now see why people do not attempt to drive around there on St. Jordi's.
Did you get a rose or a book?

I keep calling it St. Jordi's, and it is San Jordi's. Oh well, you know what day I mean, lol

People had tons of good, relaxing, cultural fun!!!

St Jordi, San Jordi... Don't worry, I know what you mean (by the way Jordi is the catalan name for George)... My girlfriend and I sort of adapt this celebration to our own... She's not that crazy about roses, so we both exchange surprise books... I got her Primo Levi's Trilogy about the Auschwitz Camps and she got me John Fowles' The Magus.

I think I know why woman give men books. Sometimes they need instructions, present company excluded of course. I was thinking about it, and I am always giving my husband things to read. He will give me things back to read as well, but I'm pretty sure I started the whole thing! My favorite is reading to each other. I love to hear his voice reading to me. What a beautiful custom. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Read to her.

I do read to her sometimes. Or vice-versa... And I agree with you. It's a great thing to do together.
